Based at Adelaide Metro, as our invaluable Allied Health Assistant Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing leadership and developmental support for Allied Health Assistants, who provide direct support to clients participating in our range of wellbeing activities. 

This role will engage with various community groups and networks to promote services while continuing to develop and implement additional wellness and reablement based programs. 

You’ll also make an impact by:

  • Monitoring service delivery to ensure clients are encouraged to identify goals for independence, wellness and reablement.
  • Monitoring performance of staff on a daily basis to ensure satisfactory performance in line with program, aged care standards and client expectations.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance client care and operational efficiency.
  • Providing timely information and reporting to the Exercise Physiology Manager in relation to the role and KPIs that apply to the role and/or as directed from time to time.

 

What you’ll bring 

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Allied Health Assistant Certificate III or equivalent experience.
  • Decision-making abilities with experience in identifying solutions and alternatives, deciding on a course of action and implementing. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of Consumer Directed Care Principles (CDC) and Aged Care Standards.
  • High level written and verbal communication skills as well as proven strengths in collaboration, networking, report writing, lateral thinking and problem solving.
  • Access to private motor vehicle and valid driver's licence.
  • Possesses, or is willing to acquire, up-to-date certifications in First Aid and CPR.
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance or be willing to obtain one.

You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following:

  • A tertiary qualification in human services discipline, community development, community services, social planning, social sciences or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in a senior service delivery role within the community services sector, with a strong preference for experience facilitating groups for older adults or individuals with disabilities. 
  • Knowledge of the legislation and guidelines for the provision of service to older people living in the community.
