Based in Salisbury South, as our Social Worker, you will be responsible to deliver a range of social work services to clients, including counselling, group work, community integration and coordination. This position provides services to Helping Hand sites and services within the metropolitan area. This position is open to a new graduate for four days per week and an experienced social worker for three days per week.  

You’ll also make an impact by:

  • Engaging with clients in a professional and approachable manner, demonstrating empathy, consideration and respect.
  • Providing information, coaching and mentoring for care and other staff to support high quality and effective service delivery.
  • Actively participating in both informal and formal performance management processes, including annual and adhoc performance review, improvement and development.  

 

What you’ll bring 

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in social work and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW).
  • Demonstrated experience providing social work services to adult clients in rehabilitative environments, including assessing and evaluating their needs and delivering both group and individual support.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in the provision of clear, succinct and accurate assessments, care and support plans and case notes.
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • First aid & CPR certificate
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening check or be willing to obtain one.
 

You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following:

  • Experience working as a social worker in the aged care sector
  • Experience delivering services in a Consumer Directed Care environment, Trauma Informed Practice.
  • Access to private motor vehicle
