Based at our Port Pirie office, as our Recruitment and Onboarding Officer, you will be responsible for recruiting, supporting, and onboarding care staff for the Home Care Division of Helping Hand. 

This role is responsible for recruiting care staff to fulfill the care needs of Helping Hand clients and to achieve the business's growth targets. 

You’ll also make an impact by:

  • Building a positive organisational culture by conveying the organisation's values, mission, and vision to new employees.
  • Assisting and mentoring new staff to deliver best practice services to clients through comprehensive induction and training.
  • Maintaining effective communication with the workforce support team including rostering and other support functions.
  • Initiating follow-up actions arising from meetings, reports, requests from internal / external stakeholders etc. and coordinating in line with continuous improvement activities and reporting.

 

What you’ll bring 

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care or similar
  • Experience in delivering recruitment and onboarding support within a service-oriented environment.
  • Ability to manage diverse tasks in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the legislative and quality requirements applicable to Aged Care and similar industries, as well as those related to industrial relations and human resource practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated through effective written and verbal communication, with a proactive drive and initiative to suggest and implement necessary improvements through continuous improvement processes.
  • Valid NDIS check or be willing to obtain one. 

 You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following: 

  • Cert IV in Training & Assessment 
  • Experience in the Aged Care or Disability support industries
