Based in Salisbury South, as our invaluable Rostering Officer, you will be responsible for creating and managing the schedules. This role involves coordinating shifts to ensure proper coverage, optimising the allocation of staff resources, and offering genuine options to support our clients' individual preferences. 

The Home Care Services team collaborates to offer a comprehensive range of services tailored to the unique needs of clients in their homes. This involves working closely with the Workforce Rostering Coordinator and neighborhood Coordinator to gain a detailed understanding of client requirements. 

You’ll also make an impact by:

  • Providing the best qualified and most appropriate staff based on skills and preferences to clients’ care needs and services.
  • Respond to incoming calls from frontline staff reporting unplanned leave and rearrange schedules to find suitable replacement staff. 
  • Maintain open communication with the Workforce Team Leader and the Operations Support Manager through oral and written correspondence.
  • Maintain adequate documentation and administrative processes.

You will be working in a shift pattern on a 5 week rotating roster (Subject to change). You will be working 7.5 hours between Monday to Friday 7am - 7 pm and Weekends 7am to 5pm (Subject to change).

What you’ll bring 

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Knowledge of business practices, policies and priorities relating to rostering and workforce management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Computer proficiency in the operation of Windows based software applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and cloud-based technologies.
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail and experience in managing sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to resolve scheduling conflicts and address staff concerns.
  • Flexibility to work on a rotating 7 day roster.
  • Ability to work from the Salisbury South Corporate Office, no work from home available.
  • A valid NDIS Worker Screening check or be willing to obtain one.

You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following:

  • Knowledge of the legislative and quality requirements applicable to Aged Care
  • Experience working in Aged Care
