We are pleased to welcome you to your work experience at Helping Hand. We are looking forward to getting to know you and working together to meet your learning goals, and assist you on your journey towards providing high quality services for older people.

We hope you will take the opportunity to experience the varied types of services that Helping Hand provide to support the health and wellbeing of older people. Each client or staff interaction is an opportunity to demonstrate your unique contribution to the lives of older people.

Helping Hand considers students to be very important in the future of high-quality aged care and works to create opportunities that enhance the learning of each student and the outcomes for our residents and clients.

While you are on placement to learn about aged care and / or considering employment in aged care we will be evaluating your performance throughout your time with us. We will be seeking feedback from the people working with you, asking you questions and looking at how well you engage in the workplace. We also focus on your professionalism, teamwork and how you demonstrate person centred care, these areas will be taken into consideration when providing feedback and also considered if you do wish to seek employment after placement.
